Covid-19 Emergency Plan

Below is the formal invitation to tomorrow's meeting.  You can join either through this course on Canvas or through the link in the message below.  The situation has been evolving as you know this week and I am making some modifications to my plans for the rest of the semester.  Since the administration has modified the absence policy and the grading policy, changing all grades for the semester to credit/no credit, this makes it somewhat easier to be clear about what you need to do to satisfactorily complete the rest of the course.  For the rest of the semester I am asking you to read one of the required suggestions for each week and to respond to what you read on your blog.  Also I will ask you to complete two comments on the blogs of other students each week.  And that is all you have to do to receive a passing/credit result in the course--Read one of the required selections each week, post a blog response to what you read and comment on two blogs.  I will hold a class discussion session each week and you should attend if you can.  I will continue to hold these as long as students show up..  Tomorrow I will start the discussion on Zoom at 9:00 and go to 11:00.  In the future the discussion will begin at 10:00 and go for an hour or a bit more.  I will read your blogs each week.  I would also like you to try to watch the recommended movie for each week to enhance discussion.  I hope you are doing ok and have successfully relocated and that you are using social distance to help us all through this period.  For all of you who have been wishing for the Zombie Pandemic, be careful what you wish for its rarely as exciting or adventurous as portrayed on tv.  I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it virtually tomorrow.  Any questions, please email me.  Please consult the course blog for the latest information.
